BOTOX® (Botulinum toxin A) injections are used to treat certain lines and wrinkles of the upper face. Forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet lines on the sides of our eyes are the most common areas for BOTOX® injections. These lines are caused by our muscles involved in facial expression. As we age, these muscles gradually get stronger and bigger, eventually leaving a visible line between the muscle fibers. BOTOX® works by causing a temporary weakness/paralysis of the muscles, thus causing the wrinkle to diminish. After a muscle is injected with BOTOX®, it relaxes over the next few days with a maximum effect seen at 2 weeks. The BOTOX® will usually last for 3-4 months for the first few treatments. With repeated treatments, the effect tends to last longer, up to 6 months.
Juvéderm® is an effective non-surgical treatment used to smooth your skin and return your facial contours to their naturally youthful and healthy state. The active ingredient is hyaluronic acid (HA), which stimulates collagen production in your skin, instantly filling in unwanted lines, enhancing lips, cheeks, and the jaw-line, as well as other areas. Benefits include added volume and definition of facial features while maintaining a natural, symmetrical and enhanced appearance.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has become very popular in the last few years as it is one of the most natural of all the facial aesthetic injectable treatments available today. It has been made popular by celebrities, and has been called the Vampire facial and the Blood facial. This treatment involves having one's blood drawn and then separated in a centrifuge after which the liquid component of the blood is further separated revealing the plasma. Plasma is concentrated with platelets, growth factors and other collagen stimulating components. The plasma is then injected throughout the entire face, with a focus on any areas of complaint that you may have. The result is an overall subtle refreshed look and reduction or elimination of lines and wrinkles. PRP facials are recommended to be repeated 4-6 weeks after the first treatment and then annually.

Post procedure instructions?
We advise every patient who receives a Botox® treatment to abstain from activity for 4 hours. Be careful not to lay down or apply pressure to your face.
What is the treatment like?
Treatments are quick and minimally invasive. Discomfort is also minimal. No anesthesia is required, although very sensitive clients may opt to numb the area with a cold pack or numbing cream prior to injection. There is no down time.
Will I be able to make facial expressions?
Yes. Of course you are looking for visible results, but Botox® will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes, for example, frown lines between the brows are temporarily reduced by Botox. After the treatment you can still frown and look surprised, just without the wrinkles and lines between your brows.
How many units of Botox® will I need?
The number of units needed per area can vary depending on your desired outcome. On average the forehead could require anywhere from 12-40 units. To determine how many units one may need requires a face to face consult.
Do you dilute your product?
Botox® comes from Allergan in freeze dried powdered form. Therefore, it must be reconstituted per manufacturer guidelines to make it an injectable. Our practice uses the recommended mixture ratio, this reduces the risk of problems and adds to longevity.
Botox and Fillers? Can you get Both?
Botox® is often used with fillers to enhance the overall results of the treatment. In many cases, dermal fillers will last longer when used with Botox.

Minimal to None
Results are instant after receiving Botox®. In some cases, it takes around 7-14 days to see the full results. Patients typically experience results for up to three months following the procedure.
Do the injections hurt?
Fillers are injected using an ultrafine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. To assure your comfort during the procedure, a topical or local anesthetic may be used, along with ice packs. Most fillers are infused with lidocaine to insure a comfortable treatment.
What are the possible side effects?
The most common side effects are redness, swelling and bruising. These side effects are generally mild and last a short time. We take all efforts to avoid, prevent and treat bruises.
What type of fillers do you use?
Aesthetics by Emediate Cure uses Juvederm products.
What if I do not like my results?
Although its rare that a client will not be happy with their results, one can have a peace of mind knowing that dermal fillers are reversible.

0-2 days | Swelling can be up to 1 - 2 weeks
When you receive Fillers at Aesthetics by Emediate Cure, you are typically granted 6-18 months of volume-filled radiance. Depending on the client, this time period can fluctuate. To maximize your results, we recommend follow-up injections 6-18 months after your initial treatment to fully expand your filler’s volume-filled lifetime.
What does the pre/post after care look like with PRP?
Avoid direct sun or tanning beds 2 days prior to the procedure and 2 days after the treatment. Daily sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 is always recommended.
What is PRP? AKA Vampire Facial.
Your blood contains platelets, which are packed with proteins called growth factors. These growth factors stimulate the production of new cells, blood vessels, collagen, and other substances needed for healthy skin and wound healing. Platelet-rich plasma, which is easily produced on site, is blood plasma that contains more platelets than regular blood. With this higher concentration of platelets, PRP can be injected into the skin or other places in the body for medical purposes, where it promotes the growth of new tissues and speeds healing. When PRP is used during micro needling treatment, the platelets penetrate the tiny wounds, where they go to work, boosting collagen production and growing fresh skin.
How does the procedure work?
PRP is made from your own blood, which means it’s compatible with your body. It also means the procedure begins by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm. The blood is put into a centrifuge and spun to separate the platelets from the plasma. Then the extra platelets are added back to a small amount of your plasma to create the PRP that’s injected directly into your skin during micro needling. This allows the healing platelets to reach the deepest layers of your skin. Once there, they can begin repair and revitalization of the skin from the inside out.
What are the Results?
PRP works at the stem cell level generating new tissue. This procedure can restore volume, color, and a healthy glow to your skin. There is an immediate filling of major fold lines as well as smoothing and tightening of the skin. The skin also has a healthy glow after the procedure due to increased blood flow which usually becomes evident approximately 3 weeks after the procedure and continues to improve for up to 12 weeks. Results last at least 9 months to 2 years.
Are there any side effects?
PRP involves using ones own platelets, they do not usually experience any adverse reactions to the injections. However, it is possible that a person may have irritation, pain, or bleeding related to the injection site.
Most people can resume their normal activities almost immediately after having a PRP injection. The average time from blood-drawing to the injection itself is about half-an-hour.
30 - 60 minutes
It takes a little time for your skin to produce collagen and to regenerate new tissues, even with PRP. You’ll begin to see a noticeable change within a few weeks, and collagen continues to grow for a little longer, so you’ll see optimal results in about 12 weeks.
